Hello! I’m a photography creative based in Berkeley, California.

I have 18 years of experience shaping the visual voice of some of the world's most respected media titles and tech brands, telling stories with pictures that resonate beyond the moment they were made for.

My works spans creative direction, art direction, visual strategy, and end-to-end content production, as well team leadership and cross-functional collaboration. I’m known for crafting clear briefs, identifying and cultivating great photographers, nurturing team culture, thinking about the bigger picture, and solving problems to enable great creative results. I believe in curiosity, empathy, trust, and inclusivity.

I got my start in media with an internship at the New Yorker, and was then hired as the first photo editor at CNNMoney.com where I overhauled photography and helmed visual storytelling through the financial crisis. I scored my dream job as a photo editor for Time, commissioning covers and features, supercharging its Instagram account, and contributing to the award-winning photography blog Lightbox. I worked at Fortune for a year before moving to the Bay Area to work for Wired as Senior Photo Editor in charge of WIRED.com, which won Website of the Year from SPD in 2015. In 2016 I joined Airbnb, where I spent nearly a decade leading photography across some of the company's most important campaigns and product launches, culminating in an overhaul of its brand guidelines for photography.

When I'm not working, you can find me playing, watching, or coaching soccer, exploring Northern California with my family, or sharing a bottle of natural wine with friends.

Check out selected case studies of my work, see my full experience on LinkedIn, catch me infrequently napping on benches on Instagram, or say hello.
